An ally is any person who actively encourages and seeks to promote the culture of belonging in deliberate, emphatic, and purposeful efforts that benefits everyone as a whole. Everyone can be an ally, a powerful lever. Naturally, leaders are the best situated to create belonging in their teams, but ultimately, it is we all who are accountable.
