Baseline Process Model Example
In this section, we build a model that provides a baseline for organizational improvement. The model begins with a simple representation of software development and illustrates how to improve the model over time. The baseline model is then used to predict the results of a defect prevention activity. Finally, a complex representation of the entire development process is provided to illustrate modeling dynamic aspects of software process. The data used in these models is based on data gathered from many organizations and is used for illustrative purposes only.[2] You should realize that actual implementation of these models requires using data mined from the actual organization where the model is to be used.
