OPNET software is very complex and it frequently allows different alternate pro-
cedures for accomplishing the same task. Specifying protocols and conguring their
attributes can often be performed using different sets of instructions. This chapter
primarily concentrates on instructions for conguring network elements by chang-
ing their attribute values. Specically, this chapter describes the different types of
object attributes, explains how to set attribute values in the various network elements
in a variety of ways, and offers examples of some commonly used device attributes.
