The photograph on this book’s cover is titled “Nude, Campden Hill, London, April 1949,” a masterpiece of tableau photography by an artist who is an inspirational favorite of mine and also of Ansel Adams. I know this because the last original print I saw of this photograph was on Ansel’s wall in 1983, a year before he died.
