Data and Context

Putting facts and figures into context is very important. Time and again, we see figures used in presentations, sometimes quite large numbers, without any reference to what the relevance is. The numbers are presented on a chart in very tiny text font that hardly anyone can read. In business, we refer to concepts such as key performance indicators, sales figures, market share, and so on all the time.

Data means nothing without context. Put it next to a concrete example to help others see what you are talking about. Think about using analogies.
