Chapter 7 Achieve Work–Life Balance

Looking after yourself goes beyond the concept of maintaining your physical health; it’s a much more holistic approach, and it ensures your long-term well-being. As a freelancer, it’s all too easy to overlook your work–life balance and emotional health, not to mention neglect the possibilities of supporting the wider community and looking after the environment.

This chapter will expand on that all-important work–life balance I’ve mentioned before, looking at its benefits and ways to achieve it. We’ll then move on to strategies for ensuring workplace health; there are plenty of small actions that you can take when stuck behind that desk that will help your overall well-being.
