Abstract:
China is one of the world’s oldest civilizations and has a long, varied and fascinating history. Chinese political history is one of various dynasties, which have risen, ruled and eventually fallen. Currently, the country is politically ruled by a single party, the Communist Party, although a shift towards more of a market economy continues. Although still much less economically developed than the most developed economies, China has experienced amazing recent success in economic growth and poverty reduction. Three case studies of manufacturing firms in China are examined.
