Cambodia

Abstract:

Cambodia is a country in Southeast Asia that has received considerable amounts of foreign financial aid in recent years. Modern Cambodia grew out of the ancient Angkor Empire and more recently has gone through a horrific period of genocide while being ruled by the Marxist-inspired Khmer Rouge. Theravada Buddhism is the religion of the majority of the population and it is proposed the religious traditions of the country have an impact on the culture and business practices found within Cambodia. Case studies of SMEs and entrepreneurs in the informal economy are presented.
