Laos PDR

Abstract:

Laos PDR is a small landlocked country in Southeast Asia where poverty is common. Culturally, linguistically and historically the country is closely linked to Thailand. The country has a government controlled by the Communist Party and was previously a colonial possession of France. Case studies from the country are examined and it is proposed business development in the country will be affected by the small size of the country’s market, its cultural heritage and its geographical location.
