Finishing a Project and Creating Deliverables

No matter how good your edit and mix are, it won’t mean anything if you aren’t able to deliver the product to the client’s specifications. In the past, broadcast standards made it somewhat more predictable and consistent in terms of what was expected of a mix and its targets. In the last decade, however, with the move to digital streaming services becoming common, standards can vary greatly, depending on what platform the project is being uploaded to. Being able to hit those targets and pass quality assurance is vital for any audio engineer, and we’ll be going over a few ways to accomplish that in this chapter.
