Previously, we have examined issues related to working in the field of projection design as well as different design and production workflows. This chapter marks the beginning of Part III: Tools of the Trade, a collection of chapters that focus on many of the technical aspects of projection design, from video systems to distribution and control, display devices, projection surfaces, media servers, and communication and networking (Chapters 12–15).
