Using a manual camera
Your manual camera will suggest a shutter speed based on the amount of light hitting the gray card. You’ll simply set the camera to that shutter speed and start taking pictures.
1. Find the light meter
Locate the TTL (through-the-lens) meter in your camera. In the viewfinder, you’ll see a needle, lights or series of numbers next to the screen. The needle moves in response to changes in the amount of light the camera is seeing. There are variations of this design, but the correct exposure always will be highlighted in a logical way.
