3. From the left pane Tasks menu click Manage Startup Programs.
4. Highlight the application you wish to change and choose remove
or disable.
5. Close Performance Information and Tools.

In addition to the tuning of performance issues, you sometimes need to diagnose
serious system malfunctions. Windows Vista again has several built in diagnostic
tools to help you troubleshoot those issues and resolve them.
