Upgrading from XP to Vista is a relatively straightforward and simple process.
As mentioned earlier, before you consider upgrading a machine, use Windows Vista
Upgrade Advisor to uncover any compatibility issues.
After using Upgrade Advisor, you need to decide which version of Vista you will
use. This really depends on the version of Windows XP you are currently running.
(Note: No versions of Windows 2000 or 2003 can be upgraded to Vista.) Table 2.7
explains the possible upgrade paths. XP Home edition actually has the most (four)
upgrade options.
