CHAPTER 26 MANAGEMENT AND REPRESENTATION
In the last chapter we looked at what could more or less be called the “DIY” approach to promotion, and the way in which nearly all of us will start out doing things. But, as time passes and your profile as a remixer grows, you may well start looking for management or representation to take over some of the administrative workload, to push you toward new (and possibly bigger) clients you simply didn’t have access to before, and to take your career to the next level. A good manager might also be able to provide guidance and feedback on ways in which you could develop your sound to make yourself more successful, and provide a valuable second opinion on the work you are doing.
