While I was serving on my local school board a few years ago, a new board member was elected who kept our meetings going until late at night. Before Wally joined the board, our meetings finished at a reasonable hour, and we handled all the school district’s business quite well. After Wally joined the board, he would challenge routine budget items such as purchasing a new American flag to replace an old one, and would give long lectures about not wasting taxpayer dollars.
