VQuality Control of the Production Process

Well‐managed factories go through a certain process when they start producing a new product. First of all, expert engineers carefully design and check whether the design is suitable for the expected use by examining it thoroughly. They also check whether it is commercially viable, whether the manufacturing arrangement can be set up easily, whether the required method of manufacturing conforms to the technical standards of the company and doesn't need any special machines or techniques, and whether the assembly time is not too long. Then the engineering department prepares drawings, lists, and specifications of materials for the product, sets of working instructions, and other documents required by the manufacturing department, and ensures that they contain no defect and are accurate.

The manufacturing department needs to have a good understanding of its role in the overall production process by studying the documents and information prepared by the engineering department. Manufacturing engineers are required to adapt the facilities of the factories and develop the skills of the workers in order to manufacture the new products by taking into account the reason for designing new products. Manufacturing engineers have to prepare process specifications on the basis of the quality standards determined by design engineers. Each manufacturing process that has to be carried out by the workers in each step of manufacturing must have a sheet of ...
