Add Dimension to Characters via POV, Subtext, and Dialogue

Once you've chosen the genre, tone, premise, and perhaps central relationship and conflict for your movie, you then need to decide on the point of view (POV). Is this a single, main protagonist story told in linear time? Is this a dual protagonist story? Is it a multi-protagonist story? Kaleidoscopic? Ensemble? The possible answers to many of these questions can be found in Chapter 8 on Structure. But POV is often more than a structural concern.
