When and how to use business games

Some people believe that ‘games’ have no place in serious organisations. Meetings are serious events with a serious purpose. I could not disagree more strongly! Children learn through play and so do adults. Our problem is that we do not necessarily allow adults to learn the same way as children. Children learn by play, by activity and by making mistakes. Rather than give up at the first sign of failure, they persevere. How many of us would pursue the art of walking if it were something we learnt to do only as adults? At the first fall, most of us would think, ‘Well, I’m not trying that again!’
