How to make work more fun

Why this matters

One of the first questions I ask my new customers is whether they’re having fun at work.

Almost none say “yes”; most replies being “no”, “not really”, “not at the minute”, “I will do when X is finished” and “I will do when Y leaves me alone”. I also get the occasional “it’s going OK”.

Admittedly, I probably have a skewed sample – after all, they’ve just asked me to help them with something. So, let me ask you.

Are you having fun at work?

When you wake up, do you look forward to your day?

Do you know it’ll be great?
