There is a great joy that comes from working on things that, well, work. The last fifteen years of this purposeful effort has been extraordinarily hard in so many ways. Spending so much time head down in the weeds makes it very difficult to know if progress is being made. It’s hard to know if our multiple investments in time, money, sweat, and tears are going to pay off; if we’re moving in the right direction; or if we’re about to fall screaming off a cliff.
