In Chapter 14 I defined source code as comprising functional statements and nonfunctional comments and strings (see Table 14.1). A single line of source code may include one or more statements and one or more comments and strings. Source code cross-correlation is a measure of the correlation of comments and string to statements and vice versa. As with the other code correlation measures, a source code cross-correlation between 0 and 1 should be determined for an individual correlation measure.
