Legacy
At some point, we all move on from our current professional roles. Maybe we take a new job in a different organization. Maybe we switch careers. And sooner or later, all our professional lives come to an end.
But many ambitious professionals would like to leave a positive mark behind: a new culture of innovation; a new market or a return to profitability; greater diversity and sustainability; or simply the knowledge of a job well done, and the confidence that you’ve handed off the baton to someone who will keep your good work from going to waste.
This ambition applies at every level of an organization. You don’t have to be at the very top to want to feel—with reason—that you’ve left the organization better than how you found it.
