Schedule variance (SV) is a measure that reflects the difference between the amount of work planned to be
accomplished and the amount of work actually accomplished at the present time. It answers the following management
questions related to time performance:
Is the amount of work performed more or less than planned to date?
Was more or less time spent than planned based on the amount of work accomplished?
How much more or less time was spent than planned?
