X4.2.5.5 PROJECT APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS
Project approval requirements cover: (a) what constitutes project success, (b) who decides that the project is
successful, and (c) who approves the project.
 Project exit criteria. This requirement covers what conditions are to be met in order to close or cancel the
project or phase. In this case, it is the end state at turnover.
 Assigned project manager. The project management office (PMO) should assign the project manager with
noted responsibility and authority level.
 Project sponsor. In this example, the property management group director is the project sponsor.
