As we mentioned on page 30, Dr. Mikel Harry, in his seminal work, Six Sigma: The Breakthrough Management Strategy Revolutionizing the World’s Top Corporations,¹ laid out for us some key performance indicators that dictate how we begin the process of implementing the TLS Continuum. Dr. Harry tells us that:

• We won’t know until we measure.
• We don’t measure what we don’t value.
• We don’t value what we don’t measure.
