CHAPTER FOUR
INCREASING AWARENESS—SELF AND OTHERS
Effective leaders have a keen sense of awareness of both themselves and others. They know their strengths and shortcomings. They also know what they value, and they practice behaviors that serve as models for others to follow. This chapter includes activities that help leaders become more self-aware. These activities address such intangible leadership qualities such as empathy, courage, risk taking, and passion.
