Crafting a Captivating Pitch Presentation Is an Art Form Unto Itself
Whether you choose to write your original pilot script on spec, or you decide to pitch your episodic TV project in hope of getting a production company, studio, or network to pay you in advance to write the pilot script, you’ll need to create a pitch document, pitch deck (slide presentation including words and images to convey your series’ world), and series “mini-bible” or treatment to accompany it. Some writer/producers also advocate creating a “look book” (primarily images) to establish the setting, time period, characters, tone, and visual style of the series.
