About the Author

Tom Anderson has his MBA from the University of Chicago and a BSBA from Washington University in St. Louis, where he achieved a double major in Finance and International Business. During his undergraduate years Tom studied abroad extensively, participating in programs at the London School of Economics and the Cass Business School at City University London, and he spent a full year at ESCP Europe on their Madrid campus.

In 2002, Tom attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and subsequently obtained the title of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), sponsored by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). In addition, Tom has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation through the College for Financial Planning.

Tom worked in investment banking in New York before moving into private wealth management. He is fluent in Spanish and has lived and worked in Spain and Mexico. His extensive academic studies at some of the top schools in finance and economics, international experiences, and institutional background deliver a unique perspective on global markets.

Tom has received multiple national recognitions for his wealth management accomplishments including being named three times by Barron’s Magazine as one of America’s Top 1,000 advisors: State by State. He is married and lives with his wife and three children in Chicago.*
