Opportunity 5.2
Mindfulness without Apps
Abstract
What if apps installed and uninstalled themselves on our phones depending on who and what we encountered—the phone itself becoming mindful of the moment? What about building phones as “physical browsers” rather than digitally focused devices? Or, more radically still, why not jettison apps all together and design around the notion of a “person” and their relationships? In this Opportunity chapter we outline this rich design space and encourage you to think of the possibilities.
