Parameters and concepts are introduced in order to provide a view of nuclear thermal hydraulics covering from the bases to the application of the discipline. Namely, selected cross-cutting issues from the thermal hydraulics universe are defined. This view is essential for understanding the content of the book and for self-confirming the level of understanding of thermal hydraulics by the reader.
