Brainstorm works effectively with adult learners who have rich and diverse backgrounds. I often use this method to provide an introduction to lecture games.
The presenter conducts a brainstorming session on an open-ended question, contributing his or her own ideas whenever appropriate. (You may wish to review handout 2-2 in the appendix.) After brainstorming, the presenter derives some general principles on the topic and corrects any misconceptions.
