People learn by watching others learn. With the Fishbowl learning format, participants learn by observing a coaching session.
You conduct a one-on-one coaching session in the middle of the room (the Fishbowl). Other participants observe and participate vicariously.
Use this format when:
Instructional content involves information, procedures, concepts, or principles.
Participants are capable of participating in a one-on-one coaching session without spectators distracting them.
You can conduct a coaching session without becoming selfconscious about several others observing you.
