CONCEPTUALIZATIONS OF RISK IN PSYCHOPATHOLOGY
The study of the role of risk and protective factors in the development of psychopathology has witnessed two, somewhat independent, conceptualizations of risk. One approach has viewed certain types of events as unique risk factors for specific disorders.
