PROTECT YOUR LEADER
It is such a relief to have a leader who will both listen and make decisions. Our ideal may well be to have a leader who both listens and does precisely what we suggest, but we would normally acknowledge that a leader takes into account a wider range of views than just ours alone before making a decision.
It can take a burden off our mind when we judge that we have done our job as well as we can, and it is now up to our boss to make the final decision about the way forward. Such an approach may be ideal for our psychological well-being but it may not be entirely fair on the boss or team ...
