The Role of Trust

In chapter 2, I discussed the benefits of high trust among TMT members for the TMT’s internal processes. Trust also plays a key role in the relationship between the TMT and middle managers. Specifically, the extent to which the TMT shows participative leadership and middle managers show active engagement depends on their trust in each other.
