Researchers who have focused on the performance of individuals, nonmanagerial teams, and organizations have long conceptualized performance as a multidimensional construct.24 No such model existed for TMT performance. Yet, based on the complexity and multidimensionality of the TMT task, we reasoned that TMT performance also should be conceptualized as a multidimensional construct.
Our study revealed the existence of five relevant performance aspects. By measuring these dimensions and by testing them in exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, we have established a model for evaluating TMT performance that goes beyond financial indicators.
