Introduction
A producer is someone who takes raw elements and makes them into something. In television, a producer can have many forms. In sportscasting, the producer plays an important role in bringing together these raw elements and, along with the rest of the crew, shapes them into a product that tells a story or many stories. The producer begins their job long before the show fades up from black by researching, writing, and organizing the mission of the show. Once the show begins, the producer has an ever-changing list of questions that need decisions.
