Tourism Security Legal Issues

Abstract

This chapter deals with the issue of tourism codes and law. In a litigious society, it is essential that tourism businesses and/or professionals know how to defend themselves from lawsuits and prevent costly legal entanglement by understanding what both their rights and responsibilities are. The chapter also deals with passenger rights in places of lodging and forms of transportation and examines some of these rights in both the United States and Europe.
