A Second Pass
In Fig. 8.1, Meyer is waiting for his grandmother in an Emergency Room. Every few seconds, he glances toward the ER door. If you were drawing storyboards, posing, and animating a sequence like this, you would probably draw several “look” poses for him to use throughout the shot. Mostly, they are just movements of the head and the upper body. Animated just like that, it’s a lame performance.
You could follow all the steps we’ve laid out so far in this book and it would still be lacking. That’s because up until now, we’ve only been concerned with the primary actions: the reach, the walk, the hand movement, and the jump. ...
