E-Learning
E-learning is just another way to deliver training. E-learning has been described in a number of ways and called by other names including distance learning, learning technology, CBT, and computer-mediated learning. Marc Rosenberg (2001) offers a useful definition that serves as the basis for discussion in this book: “E-learning uses Internet technologies to deliver a broad array of solutions that enhance knowledge and performance. Its three fundamental criteria are that it runs on a computer network, utilizes a Web-based platform such as a Web browser, and integrates a broader spectrum of solutions than simply training.”
