Extension Mobility (EM) is an XML-based endpoint (phone, softphone/soft-client) authentication feature that enables users to roam between sites without having to take a device along with them. The user simply activates the EM service and logs in to any EM-enabled endpoint. When the user is logged in, his or her speed dials, settings, class of restriction (CoR), services, and other settings are downloaded to the endpoint, in essence, making that endpoint the user’s own.
