Description
New trainers are often tasked with creating assessments of learning programs with little understanding of how to design one that produces valid and reliable results. Poorly designed test questions are confusing and therefore negatively affect response and passing rates. Compound all this with the fact that new trainers often put off test design until the last moment (instead of creating learning objectives, creating test items to measure those objectives, and then creating content to equip learners to pass the test). All of this leads to some pretty poor testing experiences associated with workplace learning.
