Changing the conversation

When upper management asks difficult questions, they are usually interested in cost, risk management, or IT agility. Not knowing a great deal about IT, they are curious about why they need to spend millions on technology and what they get for their investments. The conversation ends up being primarily about cost and how to reduce expenses. This is not a good position to be in if you are running a support function like Enterprise Architecture.
