How do things really get done?
Before becoming a leadership and organizational psychologist, I enjoyed a career as a chef and restaurateur. Before that, I was a casualty lines underwriter. I was hired right out of high school as a trainee by a large insurance firm and eventually landed at a small high-risk underwriting group. After a successful seven-year run, I decided it was not for me.
