22Functional Teams
This chapter addresses the special problems of launching and coaching functional teams. As described in Chapter 21, these are teams that have a functional, rather than a product, mission. When you coach a functional team, your principal challenges will be helping the team jell as a coherent group, and then guiding it in working as a cohesive unit to meet the team’s goals.
