17. Improving Team Performance
As noted in Chapter 15, teams grow and improve with experience, but they don’t improve unless they are motivated to do so. When groups are serious about improvement, they define their goals, make plans, and establish dedicated improvement resources. However, to decide what to improve and how to do it, you need performance measures and feedback on improvement progress. This chapter is about ways to improve the performance of your team and some things to do to make sure that it does improve. The following topics are covered in this chapter.
