While Consul seems a great alternative for service discovery and registration, there is quite a big drawback where each service needs to maintain their startup and shutdown codes, which seems like quite a lot of duplicated code everywhere. We need a tool that auto-registers a service to the Consul server based on listening to their startup and shutdown events. Registrator is just the right tool for that.
