To discover and maintain the availability of EC2 instances, a load balancer periodically sends pings (attempted connections) or sends test requests to test EC2 instances. These checks are called health check parameters. The following is a list of all health check parameters. Health checks help us to determine if an instance is healthy or unhealthy. Let us look at a few of the common configuration options available in health checks for most load balancers.
