GLOSSARY

The definitions of terms in this glossary correspond to the original definitions in the UML 2.0 specification. We have divided this glossary into two sections according the level at which you are likely to find them on the examinations.

FUNDAMENTAL

Abstraction (dependencies) A relationship that relates two elements or sets of elements that represent the same concept at different levels of abstraction or from different viewpoints. In the metamodel, an abstraction is a dependency in which there is a mapping between the supplier and the client.

Action (BasicActivities) An executable activity node that is the fundamental unit of executable functionality in an activity, as opposed to control and data flow among actions.
